The 2020 Anglesey Arts Weeks Open Studios event has been postponed because of the Covid19 coronavirus outbreak.

The Anglesey Arts Weeks (AAW): Open Studios and Galleries Weeks promotes art on Anglesey by inviting painters, sculptors, photographers, film-makers, printmakers, installation artists and craft workers to open their studios to visitors for two weeks. Our popular handbook lists all the participants and includes a map to plan your visits and navigate the Island along with details of the free walking and sketching tours. The 2020 Guide will be available soon.  Hard copies will be available from artists’ studios and at key places throughout the Island. Anglesey Performing Arts Weeks 2020

The Anglesey Performing Arts Weeks (APAW) are running from Saturday 17 October – Sunday 1 November 2020. This year the APAW feature a wide selection of music for all tastes both for adult and family audiences alike. SeaThought 2020

SeaThought is an Anglesey Arts Forum Exhibition running alongside the Anglesey Performing Arts Weeks. The Exhibition is housed at Canolfan Ucheldre Centre, Holyhead. Running from Saturday 17 October to Sunday 8 of November 2020. Admission is Free.



Take the rare opportunity to see a large collection of current local artists work together within two exhibitions across the Island.


All artists who have opened their doors to the public this year are exhibiting a piece of their work at two locations across the Island – Ucheldre Centre, Holyhead from Saturday 21 March, and the David Hughes Centre in Beaumaris from Saturday 4 April.

Other galleries taking part with Anglesey Open Studios this year include Oriel Ynys Môn, Oriel Rhosgoch, Artism UK, Eden Emporium and Bay Tree Gallery.

This year’s outdoor programme of popular walks and sketching tours is set out below. The walks will combine visits to artists’ studios with en-route insights into the landscape and history, which inspire many of our artists. Instruction is given on sketching walks, which are therefore suitable for both beginners and the experienced.

TOUR 1 – WEDNESDAY 17 APRIL 2019: A sketching, and local interest walk with artist Christine Garwood and Guide Caroline Bateson commencing at Hooton’s Farm Shop and following a circular route via Menai Strait.

TOUR 2 – FRIDAY 19 APRIL 2019: A studio walk with Guide Kath Thomas commencing at Penmon Priory carpark, and linking the nearby artists’ studios.

TOUR 3 – MONDAY, 22 APRIL 2019: A studio and landscape walk with Guide Kath Thomas commencing at Rhosneigr Village Hall, and linking artists in Rhosneigr and Llanfaelog area.

TOUR 4 – SATURDAY 27 APRIL 2019: A sketching, and local interest walk around Cemaes Bay, harbour and coast with artist Christine Garwood and Guide Caroline Bateson commencing at the Cemaes Carpark.
