Helen Grove-White

Photography, prints, installation and books, including work shown in Japan and the National Eisteddfod. Works on landscape and climate change, archaeology and nuclear power. My studio is in an old laundry building in the grounds of Brynddu, a small manor house surrounded by trees. I have been working here for many years and in the past have hosted courses and collaborative projects here. I am surrounded by remnants of former projects and continue to follow my nose when it comes to making new work. The land round here is dotted with neolithic standing stones and settlements which provide constant reminders of the passage of time. My active involvement with a number of recent archeological investigations here has stimulated much work around time past and time future. I continue to monitor what is happening on the Wylfa nuclear power site while paying attention to the developments in renewable energy, including marine turbines. Landscape here is constantly evolving and reflecting new priorities and the new trajectories of climate change.
