Artist Profiles
| Having been brought up and now lucky enough to be living
on a farm once again, my current work reflects different
aspects of the work, life, and people related to the farming
environment. Working on a subconscious level letting my
hands do the painting to produce figurative work mainly in
acrylics. | | |

| My watercolours are painted for people who like myself love nature, the countryside and the coast. I aim to include sufficient detail to retain the integrity of the subject whilst using composition, light and shade and colour to create depth and produce an artistically pleasing picture that everyone will enjoy. | | |

| I am a marine artist – i.e. most of my work has a marine theme or subject matter from historical reconstruction, sail, steam etc but I also lean towards coastal landscapes and indeed some landscape in general. I work in oil, watercolour, ink, and some pastel. My work has exhibited at the Royal Society of Marine Artists, London. Also exhibitions in Liverpool and of course Anglesey. | | |

| I am very interested in the relationship between Fine Art and Applied Art. I trained as a fine artist, and recently retrained in 3D design and metalwork which has had a big effect on my work. I will be showing my latest collection of silver jewellery, with canvases and prints. | | |

| The experience of painting in restrictive space is different to my watercolours outside. Colour becomes thought; seeing changes into blindness. Looking out distracts. Images get less and less. Focusing on immediate brushstroke is calming, and makes new order. Purity of previous colours becomes veiled, but also creates unity. | | |
