Art and Landscape Walks - Tour 4

27 April 2019
10.30am - 3.00pm

We continue with previous year’s free walking tours. These have proved very popular by combining visits to artist’s studios with en-route insights into the landscape and history, which inspire many of our artists.

With artist Christine Garwood and Caroline Bateson (walking group leader and wildlife guide) this sketching walk will start in the Cemaes Car Park (2, Victoria Road, Cemaes, LL67 0HR) and follow a Town, harbour and coastal route.

The walk is not strenuous, but suitable clothing/footwear for the day’s weather is advised. Bring basic drawing equipment, a small sketchbook and a packed lunch. There are car parking, refreshments to purchase and toilet facilities.  Caroline says “we should see a mix birds such as the rare chough on the cliffs and coastal grassland, stonechat, fulmar, tern and auk species out at sea. We may also spot seals, porpoise and dolphin. Early wildflowers such as spring squill will be seen on the cliff tops.”

Please contact the Ucheldre Centre on 01407 763361 or to book. Booking limited to one tour for 2 people with a reserve list in case of vacancies. All walks leave at 10.30am and return at 3pm. Further details provided on booking.
